We are Fort Myers FIRST cat cafe and offer a unique alternative to overcrowded shelters. Our cat lounge and cafe are seperated by a wall of windows. Independent air systems allow those with cat allergies to enjoy their visit in our cafe!
While offering a full espresso bar, pastries, sandwiches beer & wine – visitors can reap the therapeutic benefits of being around cats & kittens while helping socialize them in 50 minute increments. You read that right.. you can enjoy a glass of wine while mingling with curious cats! The majority of our visitors come for the experience, but the cats are adoptable if you should happen to fall in love!
We are conveniently located in Gulf Coast Town Center located off of I-75 and Alico Road. Cattyshack Cafe is directly across the parking lot from Outback Steakhouse, Cigar Bar and right next to Sports Clips.

All cats go through a standardized intake process at Gulf Coast Humane Society before arriving at Cattyshack Cafe. Our goal is to help cats from throughout Florida find their furrever homes!
All cats are screened for health, spayed or neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines and they are micro-chipped.
We CANNOT guarantee which cats will be available on the day/time of your visit.
All cats MUST remain at Cattyshack Cafe for at least 48 hours upon arrival to ensure they are not too stressed upon their departure. Applications may take 48+ hours to approve. Due to high adoption rates, we often coordinate a day/time for you to return to complete your adoption. Weekend adopters must return on Monday/Tuesday to complete their adoption to ensure sufficient time to go over paperwork and answer any questions.
Current rabies certificates MUST be provided for all existing pets in the household during the adoption application process. We can not complete holds until an application has been approved. Cattyshack Cafe staff will not accept an application until all up to date paperwork is supplied.
The adoption including processing fees range from $70-$150 with 100% of all adoption fees given back to Gulf Coast Humane Society.
Adopters must be at least 21 and have photo ID with current address.
Our adoption approval process is thorough to ensure the best match for each cat’s needs, considering factors like travel distance and existing pets. Applications may be denied based on these criteria, and in case of multiple applications, we review them in the order received.
No. Cattyshack Cafe is for rescue cats only that are looking to be adopted. Gulf Coast Humane Society supplies all cats to Cattyshack Cafe. Cattyshack Cafe can not accept any cats directly from the public.
Yes! We sell physical gift cards in store that can be used when visiting.

Yes, we have volunteer opportunities available in The Mulligan Room (our cat adoption lounge) via Gulf Coast Humane Society and can sign up through their website.
For the safety of the cats and other guests, all children under 13 MUST be accompanied by an adult and MUST be 7 or older. No more than 2 children per adult will be allowed to enter at a time and no strollers are allowed in the Mulligan Room.
If you are visiting with children under 7, please book our Caturday Play Time experience in our Book Now section.
The entry fee into the Mulligan Room is $15 per person for a 50 minute reservation. Reservations are highly recommended at this time and should be booked online in advance. During the online booking process, guests will be required to complete a waiver on behalf of their visiting party. The entry fee is required for all guests.

We provide an amazing, cage-free environment for the cats that reside with us and that costs money. The entry fees help cover all of the expenses associated with offering a wonderful foster home to the cats until they get adopted. This includes the lights, water, ac and the fluffy beds the cats sleep on. We also provide treats, cleaning supplies, litter, first aid materials, bowls, etc in addition to paying our hard working staff. Your entry fee makes this possible since we give 100% of all adoption fees to Gulf Coast Humane Society.
A visit to Cattyshack Cafe is an experience, completely redefining the cat adoption process in Southwest Florida.
Not just ANY food and drinks… the BEST food and drinks! Our cafe is completely separated from the Mulligan Room by a wall of windows (and a separate HVAC system!) so our cafe is an awesome place to hang out even if you’re not visiting the cats. We offer coffee, beer, wine and other great drink options in addition to yummy treats. Guests are welcome to take their cafe purchase into the Mulligan Room but must not share with the cats!

It’s ALWAYS a great time to visit and enjoy the cafe! The cats do take a lot of naps, most often in the middle of the day. If you wish to visit during a time when they are most active, consider booking during the first few hours of the day or towards the end of the day!
Yes! All areas of Cattyshack Cafe, and our cat lounge, are wheelchair accessible. Please note, our cats are often very curious and may want to thoroughly inspect wheelchairs!
Unfortunately, no. We are not a shelter. In order to ensure their health and safety, all cats MUST be checked out by Gulf Coast Humane Society, be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and deemed to be a good fit for a group environment with our other adoptable cats.

Due to high adoption rates, we can never guarantee which cats, what types of cats or how many cats will still be available for adoption when you visit!
Cattyshack Cafe staff can only accept applications from potential adopters after they’ve interacted with the cat they are interested in.

To ensure the cat is a purrfect match for your family and lifestyle, we do REQUIRE interaction before submitting an application for adoption. Guests must reserve a time to enter the Mulligan Room and learn more about the cat before we can initiate the adoption process.
Animals have varying personalities (like people!) and it would be impossible to know what they are like based off of just a photo.
Before visiting, we encourage guests to have an idea of what type of pet would be a good fit in their home so your interaction time with the cats can be more productive. We do want to find the rescue cats a home – but not just ANY home. Our mission is to find their purrfect furrever home!
